The son of a Methodist pastor, Jeff grew up in parsonages across Virginia including Virginia Beach, Danville, Buena Vista, and South Hill. His wife is from Alexandria, Virginia, so between the two of them they’ve lived in nearly all settings Virginia has to offer! Jeff and his wife and their five children settled in Hanover County and worship at Lebanon Methodist Church, a Global Methodist congregation.
Professionally, Jeff is a human resources leader for a large, non-profit international health care system. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Sociology from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Business Administration from The College of William & Mary. In their local church Jeff serves on the staff/pastor-parish relations committee (SPRC), as a Sunday School teacher for youth, and as a leader of their Trail Life troop. In a prior Methodist church he served as the Church Council chair and on numerous committees.
Despite a very strong faith in his childhood and early youth years, Jeff rejected God as a young adult and turned to atheism for nearly a decade. Thank God for His forgiveness, Jeff came back into salvation after an unexpected moment with God one evening. Jeff shares his testimony with youth and adults as encouragement for them to seek salvation for themselves in Jesus Christ.
Jeff is excited by our mission - to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly - and by the revival already being experienced by faithful Methodists and newcomers alike as the Word of God is proclaimed and the church expectantly waits upon the Holy Spirit to lead the way! He desires to help churches and clergy be strengthened by banding together for mutual support as the body of Christ.
