Hello, I'm Mike Huff, a member of Annex Fellowship Church located in Staunton, VA. Over the years, I've been involved in various leadership capacities within both the local church and the broader charge level. Currently, I'm honored to serve as the treasurer for our church and charge.

In addition to my role as treasurer, I find joy in teaching adult Sunday School and occasionally stepping in as a lay speaker for Annex Fellowship and Crimora Nurturing Life Church. I also had the privilege of serving on the Wesleyan Covenant Association of Virginia Board. During this time, I traveled to numerous churches, discussing topics such as disaffiliation and the promising future we envision with the Global Methodist Church (GMC).

My opportunity to serve the GMC continued as I chaired the Board of Directors for the GMC Virginia Transitional District Advisory Team. In this capacity, I played a role in shaping foundational documents, including Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, essential for the approval of Virginia as a Provisional District and later as a Provisional Annual Conference by the GMC Transitional Leadership Committee (TLC). Additionally, I contributed to the Clergy Appointment Team, engaging with churches seeking guidance in this area.

Presently, I chair the Finance and Administration committee for the GMC of Virginia Provisional Annual Conference. I also assist the conference with IT collaboration and productivity initiatives. Beyond my church commitments, I'm happily married to Sharyn Hinebaugh Huff for 36 years. Sharyn is a first grade schoolteacher, and has great patience with them and I! I work as a managed services director for an IT company in Harrisonburg, VA. We reside in Augusta County.

Our family includes a son, Christian, who will be marrying his fiancé Kendall this June and I will have the honor of marrying them. Though we've experienced loss with the passing of our daughter, Ashleigh, our beloved yellow Labrador, Maizie Grace, brings warmth and laughter into our home.

It's been a profound privilege to serve alongside so many dedicated clergy and laity who share a deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a commitment to disciple-making. Through my involvement with the WCA, TDAT, and now the Virginia Provisional Annual Conference, I've witnessed true power of unity and love within the body of Christ. Guided by Romans 12:3-8, I embrace the unique gifts bestowed upon each of us, striving to serve diligently and cheerfully in response to God's call on my life.

Romans 12:3-8

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
